St. Annin's NS has achieved an SFI Discover Science and Maths Award for the 2020/2021 academic year. This is our fourth year to receive the award and we are delighted! Thanks to all the classes and their teachers who carried out investigations and experiments in science, technology, engineering and maths. We got some lovely feedback:
Congrats to everybody in St. Annins NS on a great years work. There is a huge range and variety of material. The engineering section is very good with the rockets and bridges - lots of budding engineers!
Your showcase comments are interesting - nice to hear from parents.
Well done to all the pupils, teachers and parents on getting your Plaque award. Keep up the good work!
Here are some photos of some of the STEM projects undertaken during the year.
We got our week of science experiments off to a great start in 5th Class. The children experimented with a variety of paper bridge designs before our class contest in which they could only use 2 pages. The winner managed to hold a whopping €7.40 in coins before collapsing. Well done to all🏆🏆
