The Parent Association (PA) is the structure through which parents and guardians in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children in co-operation with the board, principal, teachers and the students. All parents in St. Annin’s are members of the school’s Parent Association which is also a member of the National Parents Council.
At the beginning of every year there is an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parent Association to select parents to run the PA Committee. The committee consists of a chairperson, secretary and treasurer along with a class representative from each class.
The PA meets regularly to organise fun school events and to provide support to the school wherever it is needed e.g. tending to the school garden, organising science workshops, fundraising etc. It is a great way to get involved, meet other parents and understand all that goes on in the school.
